Oxygen Advantage™
Breathwork Coaching
Developed by Patrick McKeown, the Oxygen Advantage™ breathing methodology offers you the potential to transform everything you thought you knew about your body, mind, performance and health.

I love the way modern-day science has caught up with ancient wisdom when it comes to understanding how and why different breathing practices can support our health in so many ways. What I’ve found especially fascinating about working with the Oxygen Advantage™ system is the opportunity to work with such a diverse range of people — from professional athletes to people recovering from lymphoma, teenagers experiencing anxiety, cycling and tennis coaches, individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, stressed-out junior doctors… and really, anyone interested in improving their overall health and wellbeing through breathwork.
Fiona is one of a kind, beautiful inside & out, with a very calming aura. You feel instantly connected and safe in her warm and guided spirit. The Oxygen Advantage breathwork session was explained and then clearly guided. I felt calm and very relaxed. Breathing with Fiona is highly recommended.

We come into this world on an in-breath and leave on an out-breath. Breathing is the most important thing we do every single day. And while breathing is an autonomic function (i.e. we don’t have to think about it — it just happens), we can consciously control the way we breathe when we bring awareness to it.
Our breathing habits are influenced by many factors: our lifestyle, the environment and even genetic predisposition. Understanding the difference between healthy, functional breathing and dysfunctional breathing (like mouth breathing, upper chest breathing, fast or irregular breathing patterns) is an important place to start when beginning any kind of breathwork programme.
There are three key factors that affect the way we breathe:
- Biomechanics – the physical aspects of breathing, i.e. the muscles associated with good quality functional breathing.
- Biochemistry – the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide and how well we metabolise oxygen throughout the body.
- Psychology – the emotional and mental aspects of poor breathing which might manifest as stress OR the other way round, where stress manifests as poor breathing.
The Oxygen Advantage™ method is built on two core pillars:
- Functional Breathing Pattern Training which is designed to improve day to day breathing for overall health and wellbeing.
- Breath Hold Exercises which simulate high-altitude training for improved tolerance of carbon dioxide and therefore improved sports performance.
Here are just some of the ways Oxygen Advantage™ breathwork coaching can support you:
• Discover increased performance in sports
• Revolutionise the way you sleep
• Improve your energy levels throughout the day
• Clear a blocked nose naturally
• Sharpen your focus and concentration
• Soothe your nervous system
• Reduce high blood pressure

• Optimise heart rate variability (HRV)
• Build resilience and manage stress or anxiety more effectively
• Improve blood glucose control
• Learn techniques to stimulate relaxation

In each breathwork coaching session, we measure key indicators of your breathing, such as your BOLT (Body Oxygen Level Test) score and your MBT (Maximum Breathlessness Test), so we can track your progress against these measures over time.
This gives you real insight into how your breathing is changing — and the real-life impact it’s having on your sleep, mental clarity, athletic performance, and overall wellbeing.
You can join me online or in-person in Buckinghamshire for your Oxygen Advantage™ sessions.

Me and my daughter completed an amazing group of sessions with Fiona. We thought it was mind opening and educational on the correct ways of breathing. Some of the exercises we did worked amazingly in relaxation before sleeping. We learnt the importance of breathing properly and the energising and de-stressing benefits it has.
